Stanley worked at J & L Steel; spike maker for 48 years.
- Mom remembers he worked mostly at the 2nd Ave plant, but occationally on the South Side.
He took the trolley to work everyday; never owned a car. Bought a house in Carrick - halfway between his family (Oakland) and hers (Castle Shannon).
Had a beautiful terraced flower and vegtable garden and he loved to walk.
Used to cut hair for the neighborhood.
Met Helen at a dance.
